Clothes Lines, a most wonderful invention to save you drying your clothes upon the floor. But just like the floor, clothes lines don't move your clothes about. Sure you can attach a crank and do it manually. You can also blow on your clothes until they are dry. Why bother doing either when you can use a tumble dryer?
Don't get them wet though, a tumble dryer tumble dryer would be too big and complicated to code.
