What is Sky Arena?
The Sky Arena adds a unique floating arena that appears over mountains and deserts in your Minecraft world.
Features
- Floating Arena: Explore the arena high in the sky.
- Sword Activation: In the middle of the arena, there is a sword that, when activated, starts a battle against waves of monsters.
- Diverse Enemies: Encounter not only standard mobs but also creatures from other installed mods, adding variety to your battles.
- Treasure Rewards: After defeating the monsters, a chest will appear with rewards.
- Infinite Battles: You can initiate battles an infinite number of times for endless opportunities to earn rewards.
- Increasing Difficulty: Be prepared—each battle becomes progressively more challenging. Test your skills as the waves of enemies grow stronger with every round!
This mod allows players to test their skills and enjoy challenging combat scenarios.
I was inspired by the Integrated Dungeons and Structures mod. Many mods add mobs, but we so rarely see them, so I gathered them all in one place. I also wanted to create a place where the player can test his strength.
Mechanics:
At the center of the arena lies a special block that initiates battles. Here’s how it works:
- Starting Points: The block begins with a default of 500 points. These points are used to summon mobs during the battles.
- Mob Configuration: In the configuration file, you can find a list of mobs along with their respective costs. The block randomly summons mobs from this list based on the available points.
- Activating the Block: When the block is activated, it summons waves of monsters. After defeating the monsters, a treasure chest will appear in the mouth of a gargoyle.
- Treasure Chest Loot: The contents of the chest consist of one random loot table selected from those specified in the configuration file.
- Points Increase: After each victory, the block’s points increase by a default of 100 points.
- Mob Disappearance: Summoned mobs will disappear if the player who activated the block saves the world or dies. If you lose a mob and cannot finish the battle, you'll need to either rejoin the world or die to reset the encounter.
- Music Disks: You can tap the selected music disk on the block to record music or with a stick to clear it. The recorded music will be played during the battle.
- Glowing: If you can't find a surviving mob, then tap the block 10 times and all the surviving mobs will start glowing.
The mod is fully configurable:
You can customize:
- A list of mobs and their cost (including mobs from mods)
- A list of loot tables for chests (When winning, a chest appears with a random loot table from the list)
- The initial number of points
- An increase in the number of points for a victory
- The time of day during the battle. (Some mobs die under the sun)
- The weather during the battle. (Some mobs die under the sun)
- Blocking the exit during the battle.
- Drop of summoned mobs.
- The cost of mobs that appear at the beginning.
- The size of the squad and the chance of spawning a mob squad.
The config file is generated during the first launch of the game with the mod. Therefore, if you start the game with Sky Arena first and then add a supported mod later, the config file will already be created, and the new mobs will not be added. To fix this, you need to either delete the config file so it regenerates or manually add the mobs.
if you want the "Challenge" to have glowing textures:
You need Continuity. Of course using the Sinytra Connector.
or
Complementary Shaders with Euphoria Patches (coming soon)
or
OptiFine
Over time, I will expand the list of supported mods.
