LogicalArmorRework is a mod that changes how armor works in Minecraft, as well as allowing you to use CraftTweaker to change armor and weapon attribute values. It changes Minecraft's damage reduction formula to make it scale better, and be less confusing. Normally in Minecraft, each armor point gives 4% damage reduction. The problem with this is that there is not a lot of range for possible armors better than diamond, as any armor points above 20 get ignored. In addition, it is confusing to the player how good armor sets are. For example, diamond armor, with 5 more armor points than iron's 15, has twice the EHP (effective HP), while iron armor has twice the EHP of leather armor while having 8 more armor points than leather. This mod fixes this issue by making EHP scale linearly with armor points, meaning that each armor point gives the same increase in EHP, and also allows for armor points over 20 to be meaningful. The formula used is damage reduction = (armor points) / (armor points + 5)
It is recommended you use AttributeFix in order to have armor points over 30.
CraftTweaker support
LogicalArmorRework requires CraftTweaker, and also allows you to use CraftTweaker to configure your armor and weapons to be better balanced using the new damage reduction formula.
