🌟 Initially a remake of Pmmo Bridge but now a general Ars Nouveau bridge with other mods. It currently integrates ways to use 🌀 Pehkui & Identity scaling and morph mechanics (along with abilities for ars mobs), combining them with Ars glyphs.
As bridge, there's a system to "level up" magic skills using Pmmo & Scaling Health scaling.
For magic content mods like Hexerei, Hexcasting and Malum, this addon adds little features to unify them with Ars Nouveau.
Another tweak this mod adds is flagging most of the damage made by spells as magic, allowing interactions with Malum & Hexerei equipment that can boost or reduce magic damage. 🛡️
Also, it introduces Stairs - you know Latin, Scala -> Stairs.
Only Ars Nouveau is needed to load the mod, despite all the dependencies curseforge may show.
🔮 Base Features, deprecated with Ars Nouveau 1.20:
- Magic Damage for Spells -> enabled by default, setting the magic flag on the damage dealt by spells. This doesn't allow the damage to bypass armors but allows other mods to boost or reduce the damage with their modifiers. For example, Malum's magic proficiency and resistance attributes. It will also make mobs like witches suffer less damage from spells due to their innate magic resistance.
- Arcane Stone Stairs, Slabs, and Walls -> heresy! These are generated from block textures, so gilded ashlar and clovers stairs are not very nice in 1.18.
Compat with Scaling Health:
- Scaling for Spell Damage -> disabled by default. This feature will scale the damage dealt by spells with the damage crystals you consumed. 🌟
Compat with Project MMO:
- IMPORTANT FOR 1.18.2: Depending on your Pmmo version, you will need a different file. Beta versions are for LegacyPmmo, aka 3.x, while Stable versions are for the rework, aka 2.x. The files will have either "legacy" or "rework" in the name. ℹ️
- Mana Scaling on Magic Stat -> enabled by default. This feature will boost maximum mana and regeneration based on the player's Magic skill.
- Note: Starting from 1.19-1.6.0.1, there are perks called "ars_scalaes:mana_regen" and "ars_scalaes:mana_boost." Backported but disabled by default in the configs in the latest 1.18.2. The bonus is now additive, not a multiplier. Check Pmmo wiki for more information.
- Spell Damage scaling on Magic Stat -> disabled by default. This feature will boost damage dealt by spells based on the player's Magic skill. ⚡
- Spell Resistance scaling on Magic and Endurance Stats -> disabled by default. This feature will reduce damage suffered from spells based on the player's Magic and Endurance skills. 🛡️
Compat with Pehkui:
- Resize Glyph -> limited in scaling and to living entities, not cumulative. Allows you to shrink or grow to a specific size. 📏
- Shrink & Expand Glyphs -> Allows you to resize entities, each cast will make them shrink/grow more until you reach the config limits.
- Note: Starting from version 1.6, the configuration is done in the config file of the single glyph, not ars-scalaes-common. Time limit is also configurable. ⏳
Compat with Hex Casting:
- Archwood Staff -> a hex staff that doesn't need a charged amethyst to be crafted, but a source gem. 🔮
- Source Gem Media -> allows using Source gems as media fuel, like amethyst shards. 💎
- Amethyst Golem compat -> the charged amethyst and amethyst dust will be picked up by the golem, without the need for datapacks. 🤖
- Ars Elemental compat -> Some items from Hexcasting are tagged to fit into the spellcaster bag and trinket pouch. 🎒
Compat with Hexerei:
- Magebloom Brush -> a mystical broom brush that regenerates its durability while traveling, provided the rider possesses sufficient mana. 🌿✨
- Archwood Broomstick -> an alternative gray broomstick, currently with no distinct special abilities. 🧹
Compat with Malum:
- Soul Shatter Glyph -> Unleashes Voodoo-infused damage, causing souls to shatter akin to being slain by a soul hunter weapon. 💀💥
- Enchanter Scythe (NYI) - an imbuable scythe offering intriguing possibilities. Furthermore, Rebound-thrown Scythes will trigger Reactive spells. 🌀🔮
Compat with Identity:
- Morph Glyph: Unlocks the ability to transform into a struck target, regardless of owning its form, or into the mob trapped into a containment jar. The glyph's configuration allows setting limits based on max health.
- Identity Skills: Ars Nouveau and Ars Elemental creatures now possess augmented capabilities:

- Weald Walkers and Elemental Flarecannons unleash magical projectiles.
- Stealthy Wixies toss potion buffs or malevolent maluses, contingent upon their slyness. 🧪🔮
- Whirlsprigs scatter life's essence, fertilizing their surroundings. 🌱💫
- Starbuncle quickens its pace with a fleeting burst. 🌟💨
- Summoning Wilden Hunters bring loyal companions. 🐺🌿
- Agile Wilden Stalkers soar skyward with launching and gliding prowess. 🦅✈️
Innate Abilities:
- Whirlsprigs possess grace, gliding effortlessly with featherfall and heightened agility. 🍃🕊️
- Wixies and Bookwyrms soar with boundless freedom across the skies. 🧚♀️📚
- Mermaids fear not the depths, breathing effortlessly underwater. 🧜♀️🌊
- Unyielding Flarecannons walk upon molten lava, unscathed by its searing heat. 🔥🌋
