
Let me start by saying, this is not VoxelMap. It does not contain any code from VoxelMap, and you will have to download VoxelMap separately for this to work. Secondly, this is not intended to make VoxelMap perfect in any way, it just addresses a specific crash that was happening far too frequently. I wrote this to fix the crash in the simplest way possible without looking in to how it may impact the map, so use at your own risk. Lastly, this should be temporary. Hopefully the author of VoxelMap will address the issue at some point and this mod will become worthless, at which point I may remove this project if the fix is available for the Minecraft versions this project targets.
The target VoxelMap version is currently VoxelMap 1.10.11 on Fabric for Minecraft 1.16.3. It will probably work on older versions, but I am not going out of my way to test or support them.

A: The crashes this fixes generally look like this crash report. I've only seen it happen in the Nether.
Q: Have you reported this crash to the mod's author?
A: I've done what I can. As far as I can tell, there isn't a public issue tracker for modern versions of the mod, so I left a comment on the VoxelMap CurseForge page.
Q: Will you add support for Forge versions of VoxelMap?
A: No
