The Dead Forests adds 4 new Biomes, New mobs, blocks, wood types, tools and more!

This mod adds the following biomes, Burnt Forest, Overgrown Desert, Lush Cave Forest and Frosty Forest

In the burnt forest, you may find some mobs such as the Burnt, which can (very rarely) drop an overpowered sword called the Firestarter. You will also find a mob called the Vinelife in the Overgrown desert which will attack in hoards if they see

you. 

The Burnt Forest, Frosty Forest and Overgrown Desert feature 3 new wood types: Charred Wood, Frosty Wood and Thickwood.

No 1.19.2 support for 1.4 unfortunately.

I use Mcreator to make my mods and unfortunately the generator for 1.19.2 is extremely depreciated, so the oldest forge version available will be 1.19.4.

 

v1.4 News + Thanks for 20k

Oh my god 20k downloads thank you so much. I know I promised the update around 10k but it is taking some time. I am remodelling several mobs, as well as animating all of them. I also plan to add 2 new biomes, wood types etc. Overall this update will be huge. There are also some new armour pieces, blocks and stuff.

At this point, I have completed the following:

  • Burnt Animations (no remodel It'll stay the way it is.)
  • Frostbitten Skeleton Animations and Remodel (preview coming soon)

  • Cockroach

  • Vinelife Remodel, not fully animated yet.

  • Ashgaze Remodel, and animations.

  • 1st New wood type textures

  • 1st New Biome Generation

I have the following left to do:

  • New Biome 2

  • New Wood Type 2

  • New wood type compatibility (stripped variants, slab and stair variants)

  • Saplings

  • Animations for Vinelife.

  • New Trees

  • Generation bugfixes

  • New Special Weapons/Tools for the new biomes and cave forests.

  • Statue Animations/Poses

Here's some stuff I'm considering adding but may not:

  • New furnace-type block.

  • Lore (don't expect a masterpiece)

  • New Bow type

  • Structures (If anyone wants to help build some stuff feel free to contact me on Curse-Forge)

There should now also be trees spawning in the Frosty Forest as usual!
