Pseudorygium (from Latin Pseudoryx) is a mod that adds animals(and not only) from all over the world to enhance realism

 

Blocks

  • Peat — a fuel

  • Permafrost — formerly, the only way to get Mammoth

  • Venus Flytrap — carnivorous plant

  • Outback Bush — it is there to decorate outbacks

 

Biomes

  • Steppe — a temperate biome

  • Tundra — a cold biome

  • Willow Swamp — a swamp that is rich in willow

  • Hornbeam Forest — a hornbeam forest

  • Steppe-Tundra — An ancient biome, the only biome, where mammoths spawn

  • Outback — why not, mate?

 

Mobs

  • Saola — spawns in jungles

  • Zebra — spawns in savannahs, steppes and plains

  • Woodpecker — spawns in forests

  • Crane — spawns in plains, cherry groves and steppes

  • Saiga — exclusive to steppe

  • Hedgehog — spawns in forests and plains, should also spawn in deserts

  • Lion — spawns in savannahs

  • Tiger — spawns in the taiga (Siberian Tiger reference)

  • Stork — spawns in swamps

  • Birds — has 5 variants, which are separate mobs: Titmouse, Sparrow, Robin, Bullfinch and Chaffinch  

  • Leopard — spawns in the taiga (Amur Leopard reference) 

  • Secretary Bird — spawns in savannahs

  • Deer — drops venison

  • Hummingbird — spawns in flower forests and sunflower plains

  • Cheetah — spawns in savannahs

  • Gazelle — spawns in savannahs

  • Moose — spawns in taiga

  • Giraffe — spawns in savannahs

  • Red Panda — spawns in bamboo jungles

  • Racoon — spawns in plains

  • Ostrich — spawns in savannahs

  • Brown Bear — eats honey, should have personalities, like (giant) panda

  • Pronghorn — spawns in plains and steppes (prairies are of course steppes)

  • Squirrel — cannot climb at the moment

  • Capybara — spawns in swamps, likes oranges and likes to pull up

  • Kangaroo — spawns in outbacks

  • Echidna — spawns in outbacks

  • Gharial — spawns in rivers and swamps

  • Orangutan — spawns in jungles

  • Aye-Aye — spawns in dark forests

  • Chimpanzee — spawns in jungles, has piglin-like bartering system(when chimpanzee is right-clicked, it consumes an apple from player's main hand and drops oranges(50%), bamboo(30%), bananas(18%), golden apple(1.5%) and even an enchanted golden apple(0.5%) if you are lucky enough)

  • Lophorina — spawns in forests and jungles

  • Aardvark — spawns in savannahs

  • Chamois — spawns in mountainous biomes

  • Snow Leopard — spawns in mountainous biomes

  • Buffalo — spawns in savannah (it is an African Buffalo; model based on Cow model)

  • Pheasant — a game fowl

  • Tanuki — I took the design from someone, and I like the idea of it being in the mod

  • Snake — former no-no; my serpent pick is Grass Snake (Natrix natrix)

  • Bellbird — spawns in jungles

  • Penguin — lost Mob Vote as a crested penguin? No problem, you are in mod as an emperor penguin, smile and wave

  • Platypus — Echidna has a friend

  • Hippopotamus — should spawn in rivers

  • Rhinoceros — spawns in savanna

  • Barreleye — will be the first fish for this mod

A: Absolutely, if I(or we) decide to add it

Q: Do you plan to add [insert any primate] in mod?

A: Only in Primate Updates

Q: Do you plan to add crocodiles?

A: No, take gharials instead

Q: Do you plan to make tigers spawn in jungles or leopards — in savannah?

A: No way! Absolutely NO WAY!

Q: How do you install the mod?

A: AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/mods/MOD

Q: But, gazelle is in every single mod?

A: first of all, read the summary, second, for example, Create does not have gazelles

Q: What mobs are you NOT going to add to the mod?

A: 

  • Chameleons — complicated, not yet planned
  • Whales — same reason as chameleons, not yet planned
  • Koalas — climbing is too complicated, and not yet planned
  • Dragons — why?
  • Unicorns — just why?
  • Dinosaurs — I know that there are and will be extinct animals, but not THAT ancient
  • Houseflies — "LeT'S mAKe MiNeCrAfT MorE anNoYINg"
  • Mosquitoes — same as houseflies
  • Fleas — no, God, please, no Q: what features are you NOT going to add to the mod?

A:

  • Hibernation, Migration patterns and other integration with Serene Seasons — complicated
  • Saola dropping its meat and horns — god awful idea and this will evoke killing saolas
  • Nests — it is hard to code
  • Echidnas laying eggs — not planned yet
  • Hunting guns — shooting at animals = big no-no; but in some future, there will be dart guns
