Mod Introduction: Pollution
The Pollution mod, a unique contributor to the GregTech:QuantumTransition (GTQT) modpack, seamlessly integrates the worldviews of Thaumcraft 6 with the elements of Botania, Blood Magic, and Betweenlands, offering an unprecedented highly customized crossover experience for the GregTech Community Edition Unofficial (GTCEu). This mod aims to reinterpret and connect these magical mods through the lens of GregTech, achieving a true "magical Gregification." Currently, Pollution has successfully introduced over twenty innovative "Mystical-Greg" multiblock machines and new production lines based on the Thaumcraft universe, vastly enriching the gameplay.
Mod Goals
Pollution's core objective is to blend the worldviews of GregTech, Thaumcraft 6, and Betweenlands, while exploring potential synergies with Botania and Blood Magic. By establishing a connection between mystical aura and GregTech pollution, the mod encourages players to actively manage aura in their chunks to mitigate the negative effects of pollution. Players must monitor the emissions from multiblock machines' silencers, as increased pollution levels can impact player health, machine efficiency, and even spawn hazardous rifts. Fortunately, Pollution provides pollution scrubbers to help players restore aura stability. As players delve deeper into mysticism, they will discover that harnessing aura can significantly boost machine productivity.
Mod Philosophy
Pollution adheres to a GT-centric approach, treating Thaumcraft 6's core content as "Ancient Mysticism." Players do not need to master Thaumcraft in depth; simply reaching the Infusion stage suffices to experience most of what the mod offers. This design ensures easy accessibility while delivering a deeply integrated gameplay experience.
New Mod Contents
- Pollution System: Fully implemented. Machine explosions or operations generate pollution, with silencer levels affecting emissions. Excessive pollution can inflict negative effects on players and alter the environment.
- Aura Generators & Regenerators: Convert aura into power or replenish aura, balancing pollution and energy.
- Air Scrubbers: Efficiently remove pollution from chunks to large areas.
- New Mysticism Content: Includes GT gemstone base minerals corresponding to Thaumcraft's fundamental aspects, magical treasures from Betweenlands, new magical alloys, and a magical catalyst system.
- Mysticism Miscellany (partially in development): Such as compressed solar energy and electrical mystical tools.
- Multiblock Machines: Covering various functions from compression, stamping, to alloy smelting, these mystical machines offer diverse capabilities.
- Special Machines: Like the Arcane Furnace Thaumaturgy Matrix and Arcane Plant Essence Refiner, providing efficient production and research tools.
Pollution, with its unique perspective and abundant content, presents Minecraft players with an unprecedented blend of magic and technology. Whether you're a GregTech enthusiast or a mystic explorer, you'll find your own joys and challenges within this mod.
