Hedge Magic adds a handful of early-game friendly content to Mana and Artifice.

Items

Arcane Chalk

Arcane chalks can be "sprinkled" (thrown) on to a ritual to activate them in place of purified vinteum dust. The lowest tier, Rudimentary Chalk, can only activate tier 0 rituals like the ones added by Hedge Magic, and must be upgraded to provide access to higher tier rituals. The chalk works even when dropped by mechanical means, such as dispensers or droppers.

Bracelet of Deception

An upgrade to the Bracelet of Trickery for the Fae, the Bracelet of Deception lets you teleport behind your enemies and augments your barehanded punches from behind with extra damage and a slightly ridiculous amount of knockback, as demonstrated here.

Rituals

Ritual of Lost Knowledge

Tired of searching for villagers willing to sell a codex to you?  The ancient texts speak of a long-lost ritual that was once used to inscribe an empty book with arcane knowledge from a magical pool. While no trace of the mystical liquid survived, you can devise an imitation by infusing pure water with vinteum dust. This will allow you to produce your very own Codex Arcana.

Ritual of New Life

Been looking for hours and not found a single cow? The Ritual of New Life allows you to sacrifice a handful of natural resources to persuade a random, passive mob to appear nearby. You may even entice a villager to come by.

Ritual of the Crystalline Web

It's a little known fact that many mages have a deep-seated fear of tunnels. Unfortunately, these fears must be faced on a regular basis to maintain a healthy supply of chimerite. Until now. The Ritual of the Crystalline Web allows you to fabricate a handful of chimerite from common minerals, using a pair of diamond blocks as catalysts. Not sure how you'll find the minerals without going undergound, but that's not really the ritual's problem now is it?

Ritual of Coalescence

Mob Spawners contain an immense amount of power packed into a single, tiny block. With the Ritual of Coalescence you can tear that power out to fill a phylactery, leaving the spawner as little more than an empty shell. Now if only there were a way to rejuvenate it...

Blocks

Worldbound Rift

Rift spells are incredibly powerful tools, granting instant access to a pocket storage dimension whenever and wherever you want it. The Worldbound Rift is more expensive, barely mobile and still requires a rift spell to activate, but it does have some funky wavy tendrils so we'll call it even.

Coalesced Spawner

That inert spawner you got from the ritual of coalescence? Useless, throw them all into lava the next chance you get. Unless, of course, you'd like the ability to spawn massive amounts of any monster whose soul you manage to stuff into a phylactery. If, for some strange reason, that sounds like a good idea to you, just imbue yourself a coalesced spawner, drop in a filled phylactery and place a handful of mana crystals nearby for luck. Also for power.
