Using assembly processes provided by Create and vanilla Minecraft, it's time to get Founded. Founded focuses on creating a semi-realistic foundry experience using mold crafting. This process relies on mold sand that can be reused minus some loses along the way. Using a casing, mold sand, bandings, a plate, and a mechanical press you can mold a new path forward!
This mod requires:
JEI & Create
Beginning your Founded life
To start molding you'll need some molding sand;
The dry mold sand must me moisturized, alternatively you can do this similar to vanilla concrete mix.
Mold Casings;
Next you'll need to craft some mold banding and mold cases. Mold banding has a durability of 512 per band, casings do not have durability due to the chance for consumption during molding.
Casings are required to start the molding process. The basic recipe for making cases uses 2 Zinc Ingots and 4 Wooden Slabs. Alternatively there are recipes that uses hinges that result in more cases per crafting.
Hinges;
Hinges allow us to automate some designs with more efficiency resulting in more output. Hinges require three pieces to assemble; Top, bottom, and a rivet.
Hinge assembly requires some pressure to put that rivet into place.
These hinges when used in replacement of the Zinc Ingots in case yields; x3, x4, x6, x12 casings respectively.
Molten Metals;
Molten metal must be acquired by melting down already processed metal components; nuggets, ingots, or blocks.
Molten: Iron, Zinc, Brass, Copper, Gold
Plates;
Plates allow us to make molds for many different parts, I'll be showcasing the ingot plate(Also available at this time: Axe, Sword, Pickaxe, Hoe, and Shovel). All plates consume one ingot of molten iron and the item used to form their cast. Each plate has a durability of 1024.
Mold Assembly;
At this point we can assemble our first mold sequence, the ingot mold requires x2 Mold Sand(Wet) and x3 Mold Bandings. The molding process always begins with applying the appropriate plate to the mold casing. Default 82%Success, failure items by percentile weight chance: Casing: 64%, Mold Sand Dry/Wet: 7%/7%, Oak Slab: 21%.
Pouring;
Next we can pour our mold. Pour cost is determined by taking initial vanilla/modded item metal cost reduced by 1 ingot, plus 1 nugget(or an 8 nugget reduction.)
Hammer;
Next we will need to open the now cast parts, to do this we will need a brass hammer. The brass hammer has a durability of 540 due to it's naturally softer metal. The brass hammer is required to not damage parts during extraction(no plan to add).
Opening the casts;
Gives you the part that was desired, the casing, x2 mold sand(dry), and has a 27% chance for an additional part.
