This mod allows the player to pull out their soul with the Soul Siphon, an item crafted from a Sculk catalyst. Once outside the body, the player is debuffed and the soul can be either put back in to remove the debuffs, or squeezed in the hand to further debuff the player. This allows whoever holds a person's soul to effectively control the person, or at the very least easily beat them in a 1v1 fight.
Removing a soul uses the custom attributes added by Pufferfish's Skills to reduce the player to 90% attack damage for both melee and ranged, as well as the vanilla health attribute to reduce the player to 90% HP, 18 health/9 hearts by default. Squeezing the soul causes the player it came from be blinded, weakened, and slowed.
An artificial soul item exists that can be used to replace a soul, but is by default uncraftable. Datapacks could be used to create a crafting recipe for this item, if you want to use it in survival mode. Another item exists called a "Boss Soul", which is edible but has no other function in this mod. This is entirely for my modpack's official server.
This mod was made with the official server of my modpack, Chronost Incorporated, in mind. One mechanic on my server was that people would sell their original, bound Chest Cavity organs to me, and I would give them ingame currency to spend in the shop. Chest Cavity has since updated in a way that removes the meaning from this, but includes other useful features. I would miss the ability to buy people's hearts from them, and leave them a shambling mess when it comes time to respawn. So I created this mod in MCreator, with the help of a few friends. My desire is that players have a personal, ultimate bargaining chip that is worth a lot, but costs them a lot.
