Arcane Armaments adds four new offhand weapons, each with their own set of RPG-style skills. Combat is balanced around vanilla, but can be tweaked to suit a range of difficulties.
New Offhand Weapons
Mage's Staff
- Fireball: Throw an exploding ball of flame, igniting enemies caught in the blast.
- Blink: Teleport yourself to a target location or entity.
- Blizzard: Throw a bolt of ice that shatters into a slowing, damaging storm.
- Thunder: Call down a lightning strike after a short delay. Can be attached to a target or engraved into the ground.
Rogue's Dagger
- Envenom: Inject your foe with a deadly venom, slowly draining their life.
- Smoke Bomb: Vanish in a puff of smoke. Become fully invisible to both players and mobs.
- Rupture: Strike at the heels, causing enemies to take damage as they flee.
- Execute: Finish off a wounded opponent with less than a third of their health.
Warrior's Axe
- Berserk: Gain movement speed and the ability to fight with two weapons, but take 25 percent more damage.
- Stomp: Create a tremor that stuns nearby enemies. Activate midair to transfer fall damage to enemies.
- Grapple: "Throw a hooked chain to pull your enemies within the range of your axe.
- Molten Shell: "Burn and knock enemies back while regenerating health.
Cleric's Scepter
- Blessed Blades: Grant yourself and nearby players the ability to steal life with every hit.
- Holy Shield: Negate damage from the next three attacks.
- Smiting Ray: Shoot a beam of light at a foe, turning their healing into damage for a short time.
- Healing Aura: Release steady waves of healing to mend the wounds of all nearby players.
Getting Started
Players spawn with a Dusty Tome. This book includes information on how to craft each offhand weapon, unlock new skills, and the default key bindings.
Lose your tome? Craft a new one with sand and a book.
Enhance Your Abilities
Unlock new skills at the Armory by supplying your weapon and the requisite upgrade item.
Combat Balance
Want to turn your fireballs into 1-shot KOs? Think the smoke bomb cooldown is too short? Cooldowns, damage, healing and durations for all skills can be edited in the mod config file arcanearmaments-common.toml
